"Error 0xC0000005 (Access Violation) when attempting to inject the hack."

Problem: I get "Error 0xC0000005" when trying to run the loader. How do I fix?

Solution:

I. What is that error code?

The error code 0xC0000005, officially an Access Violation, is a critical Windows error. It means that a program (in this case, the cheat loader/injector) attempted to read from or write to a memory location that it was not authorized to access.

In the context of injecting an external process (like a cheat into a game), this error almost always indicates a conflict with a security measure or a system-level instability issue.

II. Primary Causes in Injection Scenarios

When this error occurs during the injection phase, the cause is typically one of the following:

Cause Context Specificity
1. Anti-Cheat (AC) Detection/Blocking The game's anti-cheat software (like Vanguard, EAC, BattleEye, etc.) has detected the loader's attempt to access the game process's protected memory and is actively terminating the process with an Access Violation to prevent the injection.
2. Security Software Conflict Windows Defender, a third-party antivirus, or the Windows Firewall is actively scanning or blocking the loader or the resulting DLL/memory modification, causing a process crash.
3. Data Execution Prevention (DEP) Conflict DEP is a core Windows security feature designed to prevent code from executing in non-executable memory regions. The injection method may be incompatible with DEP, leading to the violation.
4. Corrupted System/Hardware Unstable CPU/RAM overclocking, outdated drivers, or corrupted system files (especially ntdll.dll or related modules) can cause the system itself to incorrectly handle memory, leading to a false or genuine Access Violation.

III. Step-by-Step Troubleshooting (The Fix)

Follow these steps in order to isolate and resolve the 0xC0000005 error:

Step 1: Security/Permissions Checklist (Most Common Fixes)

  1. Run as Administrator: Right-click the Loader/Injector .exe file and select "Run as administrator." This grants the necessary high-level permissions to interact with the game process memory.

  2. Disable Antivirus/Firewall: Temporarily and completely disable Windows Defender Real-time Protection and any third-party antivirus/anti-malware software. The access violation can be the result of your security software intercepting and terminating the loader. (Remember to add an exclusion later if this works.)

Step 2: Disable Data Execution Prevention (DEP)

If security software is not the issue, DEP incompatibility is the next likely cause.

  1. Open the Run dialog by pressing Windows Key + R.

  2. Type sysdm.cpl and press Enter to open System Properties.

  3. Go to the Advanced tab, and under Performance, click Settings.

  4. Switch to the Data Execution Prevention tab.

  5. Select "Turn on DEP for essential Windows programs and services only."

  6. Click Apply and restart your computer.

Step 3: Check System File Integrity

Corrupted system files can interfere with memory management APIs.

  1. Open the Command Prompt as an Administrator.

  2. Run the System File Checker command:

    sfc /scannow

  3. Let the scan complete. If it finds and repairs files, restart your PC and try again.

Step 4: Check for Overclocking/Stability

If the issue persists, the cause may be hardware-related, specifically if you have pushed your system to its limits.

  1. Reset Overclocks: Go into your BIOS/UEFI settings and disable any CPU or GPU overclocks.

  2. Disable XMP/EXPO: Temporarily disable XMP/EXPO profiles for your RAM to run it at base stability settings (JEDEC). Unstable RAM timings are a major cause of general Access Violations.

IV. When to Contact Support

If all the steps above fail to resolve the issue, it is highly likely that the anti-cheat software has updated its protection scheme, and the loader is attempting an outdated or detected injection method.

In this case, submit a ticket to the Discord Server or on our Live Chat with the following details:

  • The exact time and date the crash occurred.

  • The game you are trying to inject into.

  • A screenshot of the full error message.

  • Confirmation that you have tried running as Administrator and disabling your Antivirus/Firewall.

  • Tip to Avoid Bans & Stay Undetected

    1

Blend In Like a Skilled Player

Using a premium, undetected cheat from Arctic Cheats isn't everything, you also need to play legit. The best way to avoid bans is to play like a legit player. Avoid snapping instantly to targets, tracking enemies through walls, or dropping suspiciously high kill counts every match. On our products, you can humanize your aimbot by using the "Smoothing" option, which determines how strong your aimbot will be. Conclusion, treat cheats as a slight advantage, not a crutch. Good positioning, crosshair placement, and smart plays should still be part of your gameplay. If you look like a legit high-skill player, you’ll avoid reports and stay under the radar far longer.

    2

    Always use a HWID Spoofer

Using a HWID spoofer is a smart way to keep your system clean and protected against bans. It works by masking your hardware identifiers, which helps you play a lot more safely, especially on a new account. This added layer of protection is especially useful when creating new accounts or switching between games. Most of our products offer inbuilt HWID spoofers, which you can find on the product pages, but you can also get HWID spoofers alone here.
