How do I properly clean my traces after using the HWID spoofer?

The goal of "cleaning traces" after using a spoofer is to remove any residual files, registry modifications, or driver remnants that the anti-cheat system could use to link your new, spoofed identity to your old, banned identity.

  • The Spoofer's Job: A spoofer modifies hardware identifiers (HWIDs) like your motherboard serials, drive volume IDs, MAC addresses, and SMBIOS values to trick the anti-cheat into thinking you are on a new computer.

  • The Anti-Cheat's Job: Anti-cheat systems (especially kernel-level ones) log not only the hardware IDs but also file paths, process names, driver signatures, and specific registry keys left behind by the cheating software. Cleaning means eliminating these artifacts.

The Cleaning Process: Software Traces

The most common traces are left in standard Windows locations. You must be methodical:

Step 1: Delete all Cheat/Loader Files

  1. Loader/Cheat Folder: Completely delete the folder where the loader, cheat DLL, and any configuration files were stored. Do not just move them to the recycling bin.

  2. Recycling Bin: Empty the recycling bin immediately.

  3. Downloads Folder: Delete the original installer/zip files for the cheat/spoofer from your Downloads directory.

Step 2: Clean Temporary Files

Residual data is often stored here.

  1. Open the Run dialog (Windows Key + R).

  2. Type %temp% and press Enter. Delete everything in the resulting folder. Skip any files that are currently in use.

  3. Open the Run dialog again, type temp and press Enter. Delete everything in this folder (requires Administrator permissions).

  4. Open the Run dialog again, type prefetch and press Enter. Delete everything in this folder.

Step 3: Scrub the Registry

This is where the anti-cheat stores unique identifiers and where the spoofer often leaves its installation keys. (Use extreme caution and create a backup before deleting anything in the Registry Editor.)

  1. Open the Run dialog and type regedit to open the Registry Editor.

  2. Navigate to the following two primary locations and manually search for the cheat's name, the spoofer's name, or the loader's file name:

    • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software

    • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE

  3. Delete any keys that match the name of the cheat or spoofer.

The Deep Cleaning Process: Hardware/System Traces

If the above steps fail, the ban is likely related to residual identifiers that the spoofer failed to hide or created itself.

Step 4: Driver and Service Deletion

Many advanced spoofers install temporary (or permanent) drivers that the anti-cheat looks for.

  1. Use a professional cleaning tool provided by the cheat seller (if available) that is designed to uninstall its own driver.

  2. Manually check the Windows Driver Store (C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository) for any drivers installed around the time you first used the spoofer, and delete them, if you can confidently identify them as related to the cheat. (This step is advanced and carries risk.)

Step 5: The "Nuclear" Option (Clean Windows Reinstallation)

This is the only guaranteed way to remove all software, driver, and registry traces. If you are still banned after the spoofer and basic cleaning, a trace was left behind that only a fresh system can fix.

  1. Back up your personal files.

  2. Use the Media Creation Tool from Microsoft to create a bootable USB drive.

  3. Boot from the USB drive and select "Custom: Install Windows only (advanced)."

  4. When prompted, delete ALL existing partitions (including recovery and system partitions) on your primary drive.

  5. Install Windows onto the resulting single unallocated space.

After a full clean reinstall, the only way you could still be banned is if the spoofer failed to change a fundamental hardware identifier (like a chip serial) that the anti-cheat reads.

  • Tip to Avoid Bans & Stay Undetected

    1

Blend In Like a Skilled Player

Using a premium, undetected cheat from Arctic Cheats isn't everything, you also need to play legit. The best way to avoid bans is to play like a legit player. Avoid snapping instantly to targets, tracking enemies through walls, or dropping suspiciously high kill counts every match. On our products, you can humanize your aimbot by using the "Smoothing" option, which determines how strong your aimbot will be. Conclusion, treat cheats as a slight advantage, not a crutch. Good positioning, crosshair placement, and smart plays should still be part of your gameplay. If you look like a legit high-skill player, you’ll avoid reports and stay under the radar far longer.

    2

    Always use a HWID Spoofer

Using a HWID spoofer is a smart way to keep your system clean and protected against bans. It works by masking your hardware identifiers, which helps you play a lot more safely, especially on a new account. This added layer of protection is especially useful when creating new accounts or switching between games. Most of our products offer inbuilt HWID spoofers, which you can find on the product pages, but you can also get HWID spoofers alone here.

Stay Up-to-Date in our Discord Server

To ensure the safest and smoothest experience, always stay updated on the current status of our products. We actively post updates in our Discord server and on our Status Page.
