The honest answer: how long you last depends far more on how you play than on which cheat you run. We wanted a real number instead of a guess, so we loaded our Frost cheat for Arc Raiders, cranked everything to the most obvious settings possible and tried to get banned on purpose. It took one session. By the end of the night the account was sitting on a one month ban. Played carefully, the same cheat runs for months. Here is what we did, why the ban actually happened and how careful players keep their accounts alive.
We tried to get banned on purpose
The setup: aim speed pushed to 58, a wide aimbot FOV, basically everything enabled. We prefired through walls, called targets before they rounded corners and wiped squads back to back, on maps we had never even played before. Peak weekend lobbies, holiday break, servers packed. If you sat down and designed a session to collect the maximum number of reports, it would look like this one.
The ban landed before we logged off. One month.
That result is more useful than it sounds, because it marks the ceiling. Play as blatantly as possible and an Arc Raiders account survives about one busy session. Everything below that ceiling is under your control.
Watch it happen: the full ban test is on our YouTube channel, ban screen included.
Detection bans and behavior bans are not the same thing
Players talk about "getting banned" like it is one thing. It is two different things, and knowing the difference is most of the game.
| Ban type | What triggers it | How you avoid it |
|---|---|---|
| Detection ban | The anti-cheat recognises the cheat software itself, usually in waves that hit everyone running it at once | Only run a cheat with a live undetected status, and check that status the day you play |
| Behavior ban | Player reports and stat review: blatant prefires, impossible reaction times, kill counts nobody legit posts | Settings discipline, and playing like a strong player instead of an aim god |
The ban we ate in the test was the second kind. The cheat itself was not detected; the account was punished for how it played. You can confirm the first kind yourself at any time on the live Frost status page, which our developers update around the clock.
What gets accounts banned fast
- Prefiring enemies through walls before they are visible
- Beaming targets at ranges and speeds no human hits
- A wide aimbot FOV with the speed maxed, so the snap is visible in any killcam or clip
- Posting raid results that make no sense for your account history
- Doing all of the above in packed peak-hour lobbies, where every death is a potential report
How careful players last for months
The players who run cheats for months do the opposite of everything above. They keep the aimbot FOV small, add smoothing so the aim moves like a hand instead of a servo, and leave visibility checks on so nothing locks through cover. They take fights a good player would plausibly win and let the rest walk past. The goal is that anyone watching your gameplay, teammate or killcam, sees a strong raider and nothing else.
The ESP only approach
Arc Raiders is an extraction game, and half the value of a cheat here has nothing to do with aim. Loot ESP shows you containers, weapon cases and quest items across the map, which means richer raids even if you never fire a contested shot. Mid-test we noticed Frost now labels breakable containers too, which it did not do a few patches ago, and we ended up spending a chunk of the session just farming loot off the walls. Playing that way is also the lowest risk way to cheat: there is no aim behavior for anyone to clip.
Which Arctic cheat fits which style
We sell three cheats for Arc Raiders, and they map cleanly onto risk appetite. Frost is the flagship, with aimbot and full ESP for players who want the complete toolkit. Frost LITE skips the aimbot entirely and keeps ESP and radar, built for exactly the walls-only style above. Hydra is the full kit plus extras like ARC teleport and freecam. You can compare all of them on the Arc Raiders page.
So how long do you actually have?
Rage with everything maxed and the answer is one session, maybe one day. Play a disciplined legit config and the answer is weeks to months, often longer. No cheat makes an account unbannable, and anyone who promises that is lying to you. What you can control is which side of that line you play on, and whether the cheat you run is undetected today. Check the live status board before every session.
Frequently asked questions
Was the cheat detected during the test?
No. The account was banned for how it played, not for the software it ran. Detection status is tracked separately, and you can see the current state of every Arc Raiders cheat we sell on the status board.
Does a temporary ban turn into a permanent one?
Repeat offenses on the same account generally draw harsher punishment, so treat a banned account as marked. Many players simply rotate to a fresh account instead. If you want to skip the grind, our ready-to-go Arc Raiders Steam accounts come with hours already played.
What is the safest way to cheat in Arc Raiders?
ESP only, on an account with a believable history, with modest raid results. That is the exact use case Frost LITE was built for: no aimbot on board means the riskiest behavior is not even possible.
