Ban wave
Also called: banwave, detection wave
A ban wave is a batch of account bans that an anti-cheat issues all at once, instead of banning each player the moment something is flagged. Detections get collected quietly over time, then actioned together. For you as a player, that means silence is not proof you are safe. A session can look normal at the time, and the punishment can land much later.
It also means bans arrive in clusters, so many players in the same game can lose accounts on the same day. If you cheat, treat every session as if it could be logged and reviewed later. Judge your risk by how you played, not by how quiet the game has been since.
Why waves are delayed
Banning the moment a flag lands would show cheat developers which change triggered it. Holding the bans and issuing them together gives away less. That is the usual reasoning behind a wave. It is also why a quiet week tells you little about whether a session was flagged. Silence gets read as safety, and more flagged sessions pile up behind it.
What a wave takes with it
A wave removes the account. Where a game also issues an HWID ban, the punishment attaches to your machine instead of the login. A new account on the same PC can then be banned again. That is where an HWID spoofer comes in. A spoofer does not unban the old account and does not remove the ban record. It gives a clean account a clean machine.
Which spoofer you need depends on the anti-cheat. TRACE 2.0 is session based and covers Easy Anti-Cheat and BattlEye titles, so Rust, Apex Legends, Rainbow Six Siege and Fortnite. It is the best value option and the safe first purchase if you have never spoofed. It does not cover Ricochet or Vanguard. Those two run at kernel or driver level and read firmware identifiers a session spoofer does not touch. BO7, Warzone and Valorant therefore need the firmware level VERSE. Lowering how much a wave can catch
How you play changes how much attention you draw before a wave lands. Aim smoothing at 5 or higher moves the aim like a hand rather than snapping like a machine. A visibility check stops the aimbot targeting enemies through walls, which keeps killcams clean. ESP only, with no aim assistance at all, is the lowest risk setup there is. A brand new account posting pro level numbers draws far more attention than an aged one. Levelling an account before you turn aim features on costs nothing but patience.
Before running either spoofer, turn off Memory Integrity under Core Isolation and disable Windows Defender. The setup guides walk through every toggle. After a VERSE spoof, reboot fully rather than using sleep or fast startup, so the game reads the new firmware values. After any wave, check the live status board for where a product actually stands, rather than trusting panic in a Discord chat.
