Windows Security or my antivirus keeps deleting the loader

If Windows Security removes the loader after download or after Load Module, or the loader says CFG or antivirus is still active, work through the documented setup steps in order.

The file disappears. Sometimes it survives long enough for you to press Load Module and then wipes itself off the PC, so you have to load it again. Sometimes Windows Security pops a notification saying it found a threat, and sometimes the file just quietly stops being there. A related version of the same problem is the loader opening fine and then reporting that CFG or your antivirus is still active, and refusing to go any further.

Why this happens

Security software flags tools that interact with running applications. The Trace 2.0 guide gives the same reason: antivirus programs often flag cheat software as malicious because it modifies or injects code into a game to provide features such as aimbot or ESP, which looks abnormal for a file to do. This is a common issue for all game cheats, not only ours. What you are seeing is your security software removing or blocking the file before it can run.

How to fix it

  1. Download the loader only from its official guide on the guides page. Do not run a copy from anywhere else.
  2. Search for Virus & Threat Protection in Windows and disable all settings there, including real-time protection.
  3. Turn off Exploit protection, Reputation-based protection, and Memory Integrity under Core Isolation. In our support records these three are what people miss after switching real-time protection off, so the block stays in place.
  4. If Exploit Protection settings are unavailable and you cannot change them, use the fix file supplied with your product guide, then restart Windows.
  5. The Trace 2.0 guide also recommends DControl, linked in that guide, to fully disable antivirus protection.
  6. Restart your PC, then go back and check the whole list again. Support records show a restart can flip one of these settings back on.
  7. Fully uninstall any anti-cheat software left over from other games rather than just closing it. FACEIT and Vanguard are the two that come up most often.
  8. Download a fresh loader copy from its official guide, since the old one may already have been deleted. Support also asks people to move the loader out of Downloads into a folder on the C drive at this point.
  9. Run the loader as administrator. If it still will not open, install the current Microsoft Visual C++ redistributables and restart Windows.

If the loader still tells you to disable CFG or antivirus after all that, a Windows security setting is still blocking it. Restart once more and go through the list a second time. If it survives a second pass, ask support for specifics on your product.

Which products this applies to

Products delivered through a loader, where you paste your key into the loader's license-key field. It comes up most in support records for Frost and its variants and for Inferno and Hydra, for example Inferno for Rainbow Six Siege, Frost for Fortnite and Hydra for Apex Legends. Arcane for Fortnite and Armani for BO7 and Warzone are loaded the same way, so the same steps apply. The same Windows Security step opens the Trace 2.0 spoofer guide.
