You open the loader, enter your key, pick your game and press Load Module. It runs its checks for a second or two, and then the whole machine reboots. Sometimes there is no message at all. Sometimes a blue screen with a stop code flashes past too fast to read. Sometimes Windows does not come back and you get a Secure Boot violation screen instead. Then you open the loader again, press Load Module again, and it happens again, so you end up in a restart loop. This is not the game crashing or the menu failing to open. The PC itself is going down.
Why this happens
The documentation does not give a single cause for this, so we will not guess at one. What it does record is that a loader can crash after Secure Boot settings have been changed, that a loader can crash with the stop code KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED, and that Windows updates can change driver, security or compatibility behaviour and stop a loader that previously worked. The most useful thing you can do is capture exactly what appears on screen before the restart, because that text is what support needs to take it further.
How to fix it
- Note what shows before the reboot: any stop code, any error text, and whether it is a full blue screen or an instant restart with no message at all. This is the first thing support asks for.
- Work through the setup guide for your exact product and game on the official guides page. Only download loaders linked from an official guide.
- If this began after you changed Secure Boot settings, confirm your Windows installation still boots in UEFI mode. Disable Fast Startup, then perform a complete shutdown and restart rather than a normal reboot.
- Disable Fast Boot. In your BIOS or UEFI settings, find Fast Boot under Boot or Advanced, set it to Disabled, then save and exit. Windows Fast Startup is a separate setting, under Control Panel, Power Options, Choose what the power buttons do.
- Restart Windows, update your drivers, then try once more.
- Check the supported Windows version in your product description. Most products support Windows 11 through version 25H2.
- If the restarts started after a Windows update, pause further updates for now and use Windows Recovery to roll that update back. Back up important files first.
- If the game or its anti-cheat has just patched, stop using the product and wait for an official status update before trying again.
- If it still restarts, stop using the loader rather than forcing more reboots. Contact support with the stop code and your system details, including motherboard, CPU, Windows version and the exact error.
