I ran the spoofer and the game still says I am hardware banned

You bought a spoofer, ran it, saw the success screen and restarted, and the game still tells you the hardware is banned. Or you spoofed, made a brand new account, and that account was blocked soon after. This comes up regularly in support, and it usually comes down to one of two things: what a spoofer actually changes, and the order the steps were run in.

Why this happens

A spoofer changes what the game sees from your machine's hardware identifiers. It does not act on your game account. We cannot reverse a game publisher's enforcement decision, so an account that has been banned stays banned, and an appeal has to go to the publisher. The other half is the run order. The Trace 2.0 guide is explicit that its steps must be completed in the order given, and that they must be repeated before you launch the game, because the spoof is temporary and holds only until your next restart. When a case like this reaches support, the first thing we check is the exact order the steps were run in. The documentation does not explain the internals beyond that, so we will not guess at them.

How to fix it

1. Disable Windows Defender, including real-time protection, before you start. Antivirus software can stop a loader running correctly.
2. Download the spoofer only from the link in its official guide.
3. Open the loader and register your licence key, then follow any first time use instructions it shows you.
4. Press Clean, then restart your computer.
5. Press Spoof and wait for the success screen. Do not carry on until you see it.
6. Start your cheat only after the spoofer has run. Running it first can make the cheat malfunction.
7. Launch the game. If you are moving to a fresh account, spoof before you log into it for the first time, not after.
8. Repeat the spoofing steps before every session, because restarting your PC ends the spoof. If you are not sure which of the steps you need to run again each time, ask support for specifics.
9. If the loader still reports an invalid HWID or a HWID mismatch after a correct run, that points to an account-side reset rather than a spoofer problem. Open live chat and ask for a human. We can reset a key after a computer change or supported spoofer use.

Which products this applies to

It applies to our standalone spoofers, Trace 2.0 and Verse. The steps above are the Trace 2.0 sequence; Verse has its own guide, linked from its product page. On the cheat side, only Frost for Rainbow Six Siege and Frost for Rust include an inbuilt spoofer. Every other Frost product needs a standalone spoofer alongside it.
