Your Apex Legends account is gone, and you want to know whether a new one will survive. This page answers that.

Apex Legends is protected by Easy Anti-Cheat. The game can ban an account, and the ban can also attach to the machine that account played on. Players call that second kind a hardware ban, or an HWID ban.

Below you will find how to tell which of the two you actually have. You also get a step by step route back into the game. And you get an honest list of what a spoofer will not do for you.

Arctic sells two HWID spoofers, Trace 2.0 and Verse. Both cover Easy Anti-Cheat, so both apply to Apex Legends. A later section explains which one fits your situation. The cheats themselves sit at Apex Legends.

How Apex Legends bans

Easy Anti-Cheat loads with Apex Legends and runs while you play. It reads identifiers from the machine underneath the game, not only from the account you logged in with.

When it flags you, one of two things happens, and they are not the same.

An account ban kills one login. The account is dead and the machine is untouched. A new account on the same PC plays normally.

A hardware ban is wider. The anti-cheat keeps identifiers taken from your PC, such as drive serials, network adapter addresses and motherboard values. Any new account you make on that machine gets matched against the stored record. The new account then dies for reasons you never caused on it.

Here is how to work out which one you have.

  • Make a new account on a fresh email, on the same PC, and play a few matches. If it survives, you had an account ban.
  • If that new account is banned again quickly, treat it as a hardware ban and stop making more.
  • Take the same new account to a different PC on a different network. If it plays fine there, the problem is your hardware, not the account.

The pattern tells you more than any single ban does. A hardware ban usually shows itself later, when your second and third accounts die the same way the first one did.

One thing is true of both. The ban record is permanent history on their side, and nothing you run deletes it. A spoofer only changes what the anti-cheat reads next time.

Arctic cannot influence an appeal, and no seller can lift a ban for you. Plan for a clean start rather than waiting on a ticket.

Clearing a hardware ban in Apex Legends

  1. Accept that the banned account is gone. No spoofer unbans it, and no spoofer removes the ban record. You are buying a clean machine for a clean account, nothing more.
  2. Confirm the ban is really a hardware ban. Run the new account test above first. If a plain new account keeps playing, you do not need a spoofer yet.
  3. Pick your spoofer. Both Trace 2.0 and Verse work for Apex Legends. The next section explains the choice.
  4. Prepare Windows before you run anything. Turn off Memory Integrity under Core Isolation, then disable Windows Defender. The setup guide for the spoofer you bought walks through every toggle in order.
  5. Run the spoof. Trace 2.0 is session based by design, so you run it once per session, after injecting your cheat, not before. Nothing is written to firmware, so a reboot gives you your real hardware back. Verse is the opposite. You spoof once, then reboot fully, with no sleep and no fast startup, so the game reads the new firmware values.
  6. Start a genuinely clean account. Use a new email and details that share nothing with the banned one. A clean machine with a dirty account is half a fix.
  7. Check the live board before you launch. Product state changes, so read /status rather than a forum post from last month.
  8. Play in a way that does not invite a second ban. Set aim smoothing to 5 or higher so the aim moves like a hand instead of snapping like a machine. Turn on a visibility check so the aimbot stops targeting enemies through walls, which keeps your killcams clean. ESP only, with no aim assistance at all, is the lowest risk setup there is.
  9. Level the account before you turn aim features on. A brand new account posting pro level numbers draws far more attention than an aged one. Patience costs nothing.

Be clear on the limits. A spoofer will not undo the old ban, it will not make any cheat undetectable, and it will not save an account that plays like a robot. What happens after that depends on how you play. Pick your cheat from the Apex Legends page once the machine side is sorted.

Which spoofer applies here

Both spoofers apply here, because Apex Legends runs Easy Anti-Cheat and both products cover Easy Anti-Cheat titles.

Trace 2.0 is the best value option and the safe first purchase if you have never spoofed before. It spoofs drives, RAM, monitors, network adapters, GPU and motherboard identifiers. Its seed system lets you keep the same fake identity across sessions. That matters, because an anti-cheat that sees a new PC every day is more suspicious than one that sees the same PC every day.

Verse goes deeper. It is permanent and firmware level, and it works below Windows. It rewrites SMBIOS, UEFI variables, the TPM identity, EFUSE MAC and more, so the identity survives every restart. Its SMBIOS fixer picks from over 1,250 real motherboard profiles, so the spoofed board is one that actually exists rather than a random string a kernel anti-cheat can flag.

Two practical things decide it. Verse covers ASUS, MSI, Gigabyte and ASRock boards, and it does not currently cover Lenovo, Acer or Dell prebuilts. It also sells in limited batches and is often out of stock, so use the restock alert on its page.

For Apex Legends on its own, Trace 2.0 is enough. Choose Verse if you also play Vanguard or Ricochet titles, which Trace 2.0 does not cover. Both sit at HWID spoofers.

Questions people ask

Does a HWID spoofer unban my Apex Legends account?

No. Nothing sold here reverses a ban or removes the ban record from their side. A spoofer gives a clean account a clean machine, so you start again rather than get the old account back.

How do I know if I am HWID banned in Apex Legends?

Make a new account on a fresh email and play it on the same PC. If it gets banned quickly for nothing you did on it, your machine is the problem. Try that same account on another PC to confirm.

What anti-cheat does Apex Legends use?

Easy Anti-Cheat. That is the reason both Arctic spoofers are valid choices here.

Do I need Verse, or is Trace 2.0 enough for Apex?

For Apex on its own, Trace 2.0 covers you, and it is the easier place to start. Pick Verse if you want a spoof that survives every restart, or if you also play Vanguard or Ricochet titles.

Why do I have to disable Windows Defender and Memory Integrity?

Both spoofers need those off before they run. Switch off Memory Integrity first, under Core Isolation, then Windows Defender. Your setup guide lists the toggles in order, so follow it rather than guessing.

Will spoofing stop me getting banned again?

No, and anyone promising that is lying to you. A spoofer only resets what the anti-cheat reads about your PC. How you play still decides the rest, so keep aim smoothing at 5 or higher, leave the visibility check on, and age the account before you enable aim features.
