Offscreen arrows
Also called: out of fov arrows, off-screen arrows
Offscreen arrows are an ESP feature that points toward enemies outside your field of view. A player who is off screen gets a small arrow near the edge of your display. The arrow rotates to show which way you would have to turn to face that player. Some builds also scale the arrow or change its color with distance, so you can read range at a glance.
The point is awareness. Boxes and skeletons only help once someone is already on your screen. Arrows warn you about the flank behind you, the squad pushing your side, or the player rotating wide. Some menus and communities call the same feature out of fov arrows or off-screen arrows.
How they behave in a match
Arrows usually sit in a ring around your crosshair or along the screen edge. They update as you turn, so the ring spins while you move the mouse. Turn toward an arrow and it slides outward, then vanishes once the enemy enters your view. From there box ESP or skeleton ESP takes over the job. Menus differ on what you can change, so read the options your own build gives you.
Range control is the setting people get wrong. Arrows usually respect a distance limit, and some builds tie that limit to your draw distance. Set it too high and a busy lobby fills your screen. Pick the range where the information can still change a decision. Anything further away is noise. A radar covers the same gap in a different way, so you may prefer one or the other rather than both.
Using them without looking obvious
Arrows only draw on your screen. They do not move your aim for you. ESP only, with no aim assistance at all, is the lowest risk setup there is. The real risk is how you react to what you see. Do not spin and pre-aim a wall the moment an arrow appears behind you.
Other players cannot see your overlay, so they report what your character does. Hold your angle, then turn at a moment a normal player could have turned. If you also run aim features, keep a visibility check on so killcams stay clean. Keep aim smoothing at 5 or higher so the aim moves like a hand.
Capture behavior is a separate question. Whether an overlay stays hidden in recordings depends on the build, so read stream proof and ask support about the product you own. Feature lists differ the same way, so check the product page, for example Arc Raiders Frost, which is an Easy Anti-Cheat title. Detection status changes over time, so check the live board at /status instead of trusting any guide.
