Target prediction

Also called: prediction, moving-target prediction

Target prediction is an aimbot feature that aims at where a moving enemy is about to be, not where they currently are. It reads the target's movement and the travel time of your shot, then offsets the aim point forward so the round and the player meet.

Without it, you miss most strafing enemies at range, because your shots arrive after the target has already moved. With it, tracking a sprinting or bunny hopping player feels natural. Prediction matters most for slow projectiles, long distances and fast sideways movement. It does nothing at all for a stationary target, so it is one of several settings that decide how your aimbot actually performs in a fight.

Prediction only shows itself once you are shooting at players who move. A stationary enemy needs no lead, so the feature sits idle. The moment someone strafes, slides or jumps, the aim point shifts ahead of them.

How it behaves in a fight

The size of that lead depends on the distance to the target, on how fast the target moves sideways, and on how fast your round travels. Hitscan weapons need very little lead. Slow projectiles at long range need a lot more. Good prediction looks like a player who has learned the weapon. Bad prediction looks like your crosshair floating in empty space beside the enemy, which is very obvious in a killcam.

Prediction also changes how the rest of your aim setup feels. Prediction decides where the aim goes. Aim smoothing decides how fast you get there. Aim FOV decides which enemies are eligible in the first place. Adjust one and the other two behave differently, so tune them together and save the result as a config.

Prediction and staying under the radar

Prediction is a maths decision made inside the cheat. The part you can control is what other players see and report. Aim that leads every target perfectly, at every range, for a whole match, reads as a machine rather than a person.

Arctic's own legit play guidance keeps that human look. Keep aim smoothing at 5 or higher so the aim moves like a hand instead of snapping. Turn on a visibility check so the aimbot never leads a target through a wall, which keeps killcams clean. Level an account before you switch aim features on, because a brand new account posting pro level numbers draws far more attention than an aged one. ESP only, with no aim assistance at all, is the lowest risk setup there is.

Whatever you tune, run it on a fresh account and a spoofed machine. A spoofer does not lift a ban or erase the old record, it gives a clean account a clean machine. Arc Raiders, Rust and Apex Legends run Easy Anti-Cheat, which Trace 2.0 covers. For current detection state, read the live status board rather than any claim written on a page.
